Miss Kips Streakin Out Duels Mister Ww to Win $15,000 6666 Ranch Handicap at Lone Star Park

Third Win of the Night for Jockey Santos Carrizales

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Oct. 23, 2009) –  Gerardo Luna’s Miss Kips Streakin, trained by Eusevio Huitron, out dueled Mister Ww to win the 10^th Running of the $15,000 6666 Ranch Handicap for 3-year-olds and up over a fast track at Lone Star Park on Friday night.

            Miss Kips Streakin, who finished second in the $15,000 Kool Kue Baby Handicap here on Oct. 9, was jostled at the start before running down early leader, Mister Ww, to win by a head.  The winner

covered the 400-yard distance in 19.539 seconds to earn a Speed Index of 103.  It was another ½ length back to third-place finisher Executive Looks.

            Jockey Santos Carrizales rode the 5-year-old daughter of Streakin Sixes for his third victory of the night.

            With the win, Miss Kips Streakin improved her lifetime record to 11 wins from 32 starts, and with the winner’s share of $8,500, increased her career earnings to $321,285.

            Miss Kips Streakin paid $5.20, $3.60 and $3.00, runner up Mister Ww returned $5.80 and $4.00, and Executive Looks paid $3.20 to show.  Jess My Moon, Moonshine Memories, Looks Royal, Million Maid, Jess Jones, and Fast Eye Candy completed the order of finish.  Kota Shan was scratched.

Lone Star Park’s 31-day, 2008 Quarter Horse Fall Meeting of Champions will be held from September 26 to November 29.  Live racing will be held every Thursday through Saturday in October and each Wednesday through Saturday in November, except Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 26-27 when there will be no live racing due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  First post time for all dates will be 6:35 p.m., except for Oct. 11, when the first post will be 5:30 p.m.   For more information, visit the track’s Web site at www.lonestarpark.com.
