Late Rush Propels Vital Winner In JEH Stallion Station

             GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Friday, Nov. 6, 2009) – Vital Winner, owned by Debra Gotovac, and trained by Bradley Bolen, won the 8^th Running of the $15,000 JEH Stallion Station Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, over a fast track at Lone Star Park on Friday night.

With Alex Baldillez Jr. in the saddle, the gray son of Easy Winning Jet found his best stride just in time to run down All Liquored Up in the final jump to record a head victory while stopping the timer in 26.892 for the 550-yard distance, good for a speed index of 106. Mr La Bubba finished another head back in third.

            With the win, Vital Winner recorded his 17^th victory from 35 starts, and increased his career earning to $347,434.

            Vital Winner paid $3.20, $2.60, $2.60, runner-up All Liquored Up returned $5.20, $3.80, and Mr La Bubba paid $7.00 for show. Principal Feature, Jess Jones, Six Moons Streakin, Sheza Bright Wood, Poise N Pepper and Check Cathy completed the order of finish.

Lone Star Park’s 2009 Quarter Horse Fall Meeting of Champions runs from Sept. 25 to Nov. 28. After opening weekend on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25-26, racing will be held every Thursday through Saturday, except Thursday, Nov. 26 when there will be no live racing due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
