Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks on Saturday and Sunday 

 

Friday, July 2 – Robert Earl Keen Post-Race Concert / Live Music in the Courtyard with the Steve Helms Band, hosted by Ali Dee

 

  • Gates open at 5 p.m. / First post – 6:35 p.m. / 9 live races.
  • Robert Earl Keen concert following live racing.  Free with $5 paid general admission until 9 p.m. and $15 after 9 p.m.
    • VIP packages - General Admission, Seating in the Pavilion Garden Tent, a Lone Star Today Program, an All-You-Can-Eat-Barbecue Buffet (from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and two beer tickets plus access to VIP section in front of the stage. -- $64  (or $74 with valet parking).  For more information visit LoneStarPark.com or call 972/263-PONY           
  • Live Music in the Courtyard of Champions from 7 – 10 p.m. features live music from the Steve Helms Band with live look-ins with Lone Star Park Entertainment Host Ali Dee throughout the evening.

 

Saturday, July 3 – Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks / Chevy Silverado Giveaway / Jockey Autographs / Live Music in the Courtyard with Incognito, hosted by Ali Dee / Family Fun Park

 

  • Gates open at 3 p.m. /  First post – 5 p.m. / 9 live races.
  • Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks following the last live race
  • Chevy Silverado Giveaway following the last race
    • Entry forms available at the admission gates must be placed in designated bins by 7:30 p.m.
    • 10 contestants will try to open the door to win the Silverado in the winner’s circle after the races
  • Live Music in the Courtyard of Champions with Incognito starting at 5 p.m. and until 11:30 p.m. after the fireworks, with live look-ins from Lone Star Park Entertainment Host Ali Dee
  • Jockey autograph session throughout the day
  • Family Fun Park – Pony rides, petting zoo, bounce houses, games and arts & crafts for the kids 

Sunday, July 4  – Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks / TNT/NASCAR Phoenix Trip for Two Giveaway / Live Music in the Courtyard with Maiden Texas, hosted by Ali Dee / Jockey Stick Pony Race /  Senior Citizens’ and  Military Discount Day

 

·        Gates open at 3 p.m. / First post – 5 p.m. / 9 live races.

  • Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks following the last live race
  • TNT/NASCAR Trip Giveaway for 2 at Phoenix Intl. Raceway on Nov. 14
    • Entry forms available at the admission gates must be placed in designated bins by 7:30 p.m.
  • Live Music in the Courtyard of Champions with Maiden Texas starting at 5 p.m. and after the fireworks until 11:30 p.m., with live look-ins from Lone Star Park Entertainment Host Ali Dee
  • Lone Star Park Jockeys Stick Pony Race on the track following live racing
  • Family Fun Park – Pony rides, petting zoo, bounce houses, games and arts & crafts for the kids
  •  Senior Citizens’ Day / Military Discount Day – All senior citizens, age 62 or older with valid I.D., or members of any branch of the military, with a valid military I.D., receive free general admission every Sunday during the meet.

 General Information

 

  • General parking at Lone Star Park is free.
  • Drive-thru wagering is available every live race day by entering free through gate 2 from 8 a.m. to noon on live race days.
  • Coolers are permitted at Lone Star Park in outdoor areas.  No alcohol or glass containers.
  • Most apron seating, closest to the racing action, is free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lone Star Park’s 2010 Spring Thoroughbred Season will run four days a week every Thursday and Friday at 6:35 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 1:35 p.m. starting through July 18.  Special twilight programs with post-race holiday fireworks on Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4 (Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration) will commence at 5:00 p.m.  (All times are Central Time).
