The 2013 Spring Thoroughbred Season kicks off with Opening Ceremonies on Thursday, April 11. Gates open early at 4:30 p.m. and Opening Ceremonies begin at approximately 5:45 p.m. First live race is at 6:35 p.m.

Premiere Stakes Handicapping Contest - Thursday, April 11, 2013
Official Rules and Regulations. No Purchase Necessary. Must be 21 years of age or older. 1. Requirements: Obtain an Official Premiere Stakes Handicapping Contest Drawing entry blank and read directions carefully. Only Official entry blanks will be accepted. No reproductions, facsimiles or photocopies will be allowed and will result in disqualification. 2. Complete the name and address portion of the entry blank, select the horse you think will win the $50,000 Premiere Stakes to be run at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie on Thursday, April 11, 2013, and deposit it in one of the designated contest bins located at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie on Thursday, April 11, 2013 prior to the entry deadline of 6:15 p.m. CDT. Please print clearly. Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie assumes no responsibility for entries deemed illegible by Contest Officials. 3. One (1) entry blank will be distributed to each person with paid admission to Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie. 4. No purchase necessary: Fans wishing to play for free may request to do so on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Grandstand Admission Booths and the Bar & Book reception desk prior to the 6:15 p.m. CDT entry deadline. At the Grandstand, a track representative will escort the patron to the contest bin to deposit the entry form and will then escort the patron out of the park. 5. There is one (1) Grand Prize. Grand prize is a $500 Mutuel Voucher. 6. Prizewinners will be determined by random drawing in the following manner: Entry forms will have a space for the participant to enter his/her name, address, phone number, and choice of the winning horse. Select your choice for the winning horse in the $50,000 Premiere Stakes at Lone Star Park on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Entries received without a horse choice will be disqualified. Contest entries will be divided into, up to (14) groups with one representing each individual horse in the Premiere Stakes. Once the winning horse of the $50,000 Premiere Stakes at Lone Star Park on Thursday, April 11, 2013 has been determined, a Lone Star Park Contest Official will randomly select one (1) patron who correctly predicted the winning horse, among all patrons who correctly identified the winning horse, as our Grand Prize winner. Drawing will be conducted on or about Thursday, April 11, 2013 after the completion of the $50,000 Premiere Stakes at Lone Star Park on Thursday, April 11, 2013. 7. Liability for any and all Federal, State and Local taxes rests solely with the prizewinner(s). Winner(s) must sign an Official Affidavit form, confirming compliance with the Official Rules and Regulations of this Contest, on which the signature must match the one submitted on the Official entry blank. 8. Name of person(s) whose entries are drawn will be announced promptly over the public address system, posted at the Star Player Rewards booth and at all admission entrances. 9. Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, through its management, reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this event, without claim for damages or recourse of any kind. 10. All questions not covered in these Official Rules and Regulations will be decided by the management of Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, its decision to be final. 11. Prizewinner(s) need not be present to win; however any prizes unclaimed within 30 days of April 11, 2013 will be forfeited. Lone Star Park will contact winner(s) for prize notification within 24 hours following the drawing. To claim a prize, winner must present two (2) forms of identification, one of which must be a valid photo identification card. 12. The following person(s) are ineligible to participate in the Premiere Stakes Handicapping Contest: Employees of Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie and their advertising agencies; members of the media; Horsemen; stable personnel; any individual credentialed by Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie or the Texas State Racing Commission; any members of the immediate families of the foregoing; any individual admitted to Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie free of charge due to employment on Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie property. 13. Odds of winning the Grand Prize in this Contest vary with the number of entry blanks received. 14. The Premiere Stakes Handicapping Challenge Drawing is void where prohibited by law.
