All-Time Leading Money Earner Ochoa Second Fastest Qualifier for November 10 Final
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Friday, October 19, 2012) – Linda Tee Fire, owned by Double Eagle Ranch Inc. and Buena Suerte Equine, and trained by Michael W. Joiner, recorded the fastest qualifying time in the Texas Classic Derby trials over a fast track at Lone Star Park Friday night. With G. R. Carter, Jr. aboard, the gelding by Walk Thru Fire completed the 440 yards in 21.383 seconds.
The Grade 1, $400,000 estimated, Texas Classic Derby will be run Saturday, Nov. 10, closing night of Lone Star Park’s 2012 Fall Meeting of Champions for Quarter Horses.
