GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Thursday, March 14, 2013) – Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie will host two additional Job Fairs, Tuesday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday, March 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for seasonal and full-time staff positions.

During the Job Fairs, Lone Star Park will be accepting applications and conducting interviews for employment during the 2013 Spring Thoroughbred season, which is scheduled for Thursday, April 11 through Saturday, July 6.

This on-the-spot hiring opportunity will include positions in the following departments (subject to change):


  -Security (Officers)

  -Mutuels (Clerks - Paid Training)

  -Food & Beverage (Wait Staff & Cooks)

  -Parking (Attendants & Valet Runners)

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Global Gaming Solutions LLC, offers a 50-day 2013 Spring Thoroughbred Season which opens Thursday, April 11 and concludes on Saturday, July 6.  Live racing will be held four days a week, Thursday and Friday at 6:35 p.m. (except Thursday, May 30 when there will be no live racing), and Saturday and Sunday at 1:35 p.m. (except Sunday, June 23 and Sunday, June 30.) The racing program on Memorial Day, May 27, will start at 1:35 p.m. Special twilight programs will be held at 5 p.m. on both Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4 (Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration). The track’s 26-day, 2013 Fall Meeting of Champions for American Quarter Horses will be held from Sept. 13 to Nov. 9.
