Brews and Beards: Join us for live music by Vic Duncan between the races, featuring craft beers and our search for the best beards in the Metroplex taking place in our Courtyard of Champions from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

• Free Poker at Bar & Book: Join us at Bar & Book each Thursday night to play with the World Poker Tour Amateur Poker League! Two sessions will be available each Thursday, 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and it is completely free to play. Compete for a $50 mutuel voucher each session, a $250 mutuel voucher monthly and more than $150,000 in cash and prizes awarded annually by the WPT Amateur Poker League! *No purchase necessary to play.

• Lone Stars and Stripes Celebration: We are throwing America the biggest birthday bash in the Metroplex this Independence Day with live Thoroughbred racing and fun activities for the whole family! After the races, stay to enjoy our spectacular 20-minute fireworks display, choreographed to music by 99.5 The Wolf!

2014 Ford F-150 Supercrew Truck Giveaway: Entry Deadline - 7:30 p.m. One lucky customer will drive off in a brand new 2014 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Truck! Official entry forms including two (2) general admission passes to the Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration will be distributed at participating North Texas Ford Dealerships across the Metroplex. Stop by any participating North Texas Ford Dealership to pick up your official entry form and free general admission passes and bring them to Lone Star Park on Friday, July 4 for your opportunity to win the truck!

All entries must be received at Lone Star Park before the official entry deadline of 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4. Ten (10) finalists will be given a key to try and unlock the truck's door. The person with the key that unlocks the door will win the truck! Must be 21 years of age or older and present on Friday, July 4 to win.*No purchase necessary. Must be 21 years of age or older. Family Fun Park: Kids can enjoy the extended Family Fun Park with tons of activities including pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, carnival games and a rock climbing wall! It will be open from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

• Jockey Dunk Tank: Dunk a jockey and support the disabled rider fund at the Jockey Dunk Tank located in the Paddock area between the races from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Receive one ball for just a $1 donation or you can get five balls for just $3. All proceeds support local injured riders.

Live Music in the Courtyard: Enjoy live music between the races on our Courtyard of Champions stage by local favorite, Incognito! They will play from 5:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.

• Music in the Courtyard: Live music by Signed Sealed Delivered between races in the Courtyard of Champions from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

• Justin Moore Concert: The 2014 Lone Star Music Series presents Justin Moore in concert after the final race. Admission is just $5 before 8 p.m. and $20 thereafter. Lone Star Music Series has an age policy for all concerts; you must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by a legal guardian.

• Fan Appreciation Night: It’s Fan Appreciation Night at Lone Star Park! Every fan aged 21 and up can enter to win great prizes from Lone Star Park and our partners including cash prizes, gift cards, tablets and more! Just deposit your entry form by the 7:30 p.m. deadline for your opportunity to win. *Must be present to receive entry form by 7:25 p.m.

• UFC 175: Weidman vs. Machida at Bar & Book: UFC 175 has a headliner for the ages, when UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman will defend his crown against former light heavyweight champion Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida. Weidman, fresh off two finishes of future Hall of Famer Anderson Silva in 2013, will now battle Brazil's Machida, who has won two straight at 185 pounds against Mark Munoz and Gegard Mousasi. Plus, UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will attempt to successfully defend her title for the third time when she faces top contender Alexis Davis in the co-main event. Catch all the action at Bar & Book! *$20 food & beverage minimum per person required after 8 p.m. for Pay-Per-View events.

Standings: David Cabrera has claimed the top spot in the jockey standings since he took it from Junior Chacaltana back on May 15. Luis Quinonez has been putting on the pressure and is in second place with 51 wins. Lindey Wade is in third with 45 wins. Trainer Karl Broberg has dominated this meet and appears untouchable at the top of the standings with 56 wins. In second place is Steve Asmussen with 35 and in third place is Bret Calhoun with 34 wins. It is still End Zone Athletics Inc. with the lead in the owner standings with 19 wins over 2013’s leading owner Danny Keene, who has 16 wins.

Just A Reminder: The re-scheduled 6th Annual “Rumble at the Park” Charity Softball Triple-header between the Jockey’s and Lone Star Park Staff is to be played Tuesday, July 8 at Quick Trip Park. First Pitch is at 6:00 p.m. $5 donation is appreciated at the entry gates. Proceeds from the games are to benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockey Fund. Please make plans to attend everyone!


Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. The track offers a 50-day 2014 Spring Thoroughbred Season, which opens Thursday, April 10 and concludes on Saturday, July 12. Live racing will be held three days a week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 6:35 p.m. (except Thursday, May 29 when there will be no live racing), and Sundays at 1:35 p.m. (beginning April 27 through June 15.) A Special twilight program will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 (Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration). Special post time for the Belmont Stakes will be 1:35 p.m. on Saturday, June 7.
