GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Thursday, October 30, 2014)- That’s right! The horses are in on the Halloween action again this year at Lone Star Park. The fifth race on Friday, October 31, is the Spooky Sprint!

Horses entered in the Spooky Sprint are encouraged to get their “ghoul” on and dress up in their Halloween best. All costumed horses in the race are eligible to win a cash prize for the best costume. Come out and scream for your favorite ghostly goblin galloping down the stretch.

A special first race post time is scheduled for 6:50 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and approximate post time for the Spooky Sprint is 8:11 p.m.

Cash prizes will also be given to the groom with the best costume and the best costumed pony horse and rider.
