Friday, May 22

Live Thoroughbred Racing: Nine live races scheduled. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. First race post time is 6:35 p.m. $5 General Admission. Free General Parking.

• Party at the Park: Enjoy live music and $2 beer specials tonight in our Courtyard of Champions! The Wonders will be performing between live races from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 23

• Live Thoroughbred Racing: Nine live races scheduled. Grandstand Gates open at 5:00 p.m. First race post time is 6:35 p.m. $5 General Admission. Free General Parking.

• UFC 187: Johnson vs. Cormier: Don't miss UFC 187 when Anthony Johnson fights Daniel Cormier for the vacant world light heavyweight championship! Catch all the action at Bar & Book!*$20 food & beverage minimum per person required after 8 p.m. for UFC events.

• Live Music in the Courtyard: The Roof Raisers will be performing on our Courtyard of Champions Stage between live races from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 24

Live Thoroughbred Racing: Nine live races scheduled. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. First race post time is 1:35 p.m. $5 General Admission. Free General Parking.   

• Free $5 Mutuel Voucher: Star Player Rewards members will receive a Free $5 Mutuel Voucher on Sunday, May 24. The voucher will be available at the kiosk and will print after you swipe your Star Player Rewards card, select the reward from the menu and enter your PIN number.*Member may be asked to show a Photo ID when redeeming.

Sunday Brunch Buffet in Silks: Enjoy our new Sunday Brunch Buffet in our Silks Dining Room each Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until the end of the sixth race. Try our new Bloody Mary Bar and Mimosa Bar. Advance reservations can be made by calling 972-263-7223.

Senior Citizens' Day: Seniors 62 years or older will receive one (1) FREE General Admission at our Admission Gates every Sunday during the 2015 Spring Thoroughbred Season. Just present your valid identification at the designated areas at our entrances to receive your coupon.

Monday, Memorial Day, May 25

Live Thoroughbred Racing: 11 live races scheduled. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. First race post time is 1:35 p.m. $5 General Admission. Free General Parking.   

• Jockeys & Java: Come and join us for Jockeys & Java before the races in our Courtyard of Champions. Enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast while you watch the horses on the track for their morning training. Track Announcer John Lies will interview a couple of the Lone Star Park jockeys. Afterward fans can take an in-depth tour of the stable area. For those of you interested, please enter through the Courtyard of Champion gates located on the West side of the Grandstand. Gates for this special event open at 8:30 a.m. and the interviews will start at approximately 9 a.m. Shaded seating is available.

• Discounted Eats and Drinks: For the holiday we are offering $1 soft drinks, hot dogs, popcorn and $2 beer! These items will be available only on the first and second level of the Grandstand and in the Courtyard of Champions.  

• Lone Star Park Handicap, Grade III: Featured is the 19th running of the $200,000 guaranteed, Grade III Lone Star Park Handicap, the second leg of the Global Gaming Triple. The race is for three-year-olds and upward going a mile and a sixteenth on the main track.

• Meet and Greet Jockey Autograph Session: Come meet and talk with your favorite Lone Star Park jockey! They will be signing autographed photos and visiting with race fans from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the East Grandstand Entrance. A $5 donation is optional, but welcomed. All proceeds benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF).  

• Family Fun Day: In addition to a great day of racing, The Family Fun Park will be open from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. There will be plenty of fun activities for the entire family that include bounce houses, pony rides, a petting zoo, zip line, face painters, tattoo artists, games and more. 

• Lone Star Park Bonus Points: To celebrate Memorial Day and the Grade 3 Lone Star Park Handicap, we're giving all Star Player Rewards members the opportunity to earn Bonus Points! Around the Track: Week seven of our 2015 Spring Thoroughbred Racing Season has CJ McMahon, the rider with the magic touch, at 39 wins. That is 20 wins ahead any other in the standings. Lindey Wade is next 19 wins. Last year’s champion jockey David Cabrera is in a tie for third with Gerardo Mora each with 15 wins. Trainer Karl Broberg continues his win streak with 30 wins compared to Bret Calhoun’s 16. Lone Star Park’s All-time leader Steve Asmussen has 14 wins. Good luck in the race everyone!

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP.
