LASTING BUBBLES BREAKS HER OWN RECORD BY WINNING THIRD STRAIGHT $50,000 VALOR FARM STAKES TONIGHT

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas Judy Peek’s Lasting Bubbles continues to show just how much she loves Lone Star Park with a win in the $50,000 Valor Farm Stakes for the third consecutive year! One can almost count on the flashy seven-year-old gray mare by Pulling Punches to get up and win at the Grand Prairie track.

Lasting Bubbles stalked the pace on the outside of early leader Prada’s Bling and Everything Bling. She decided to take the lead from those two midway through the turn, holding them at bay to the wire.

“She’s tries every time. She knows how to do her job,” said winning jockey Luis Quinonez. “They weren’t going to pass her today.”

Fractions for the six furlong sprint were 22.23, 45.18 and 57.49 over a fast main track. Final time was 1:10.75.

“For several years they’ve been chasing her around this dirt oval and that’s not by accident,” said winning trainer Kevin Peek. “She just wakes up talented. When the racing gods made her, they put some extra grace and power and intelligence and topped it off with a lot of awesome.”

This is her second stakes win here this meeting. She won the Wayne Hanks Memorial on opening weekend. Since winning her career debut here in 2012, Lasting Bubbles has racked up a total of seven wins over the Lone Star surface. Six of which were stakes competitions. Her career record reads 33-12-8-4, and with the $30,000 winner’s share her career earnings now total $437,418.

As the betting favorite, Lasting Bubbles returned $3.40, $2.20 and $2.10. Everything Bling held second and returned $3.00 and $2.40. Infectious was up for show returning $2.40. Prada’s Bling, Final Song, Bethyl’s Royalrose, and Best Bling completed the order of finish. Scooter’s Choice was a late scratch from the race.
