Join us Friday, September 18 for the start of our 19th Fall Meeting of Champions Season for American Quarter Horse and mixed breed racing. The 26-day meet runs through Saturday, November 14. Live racing will be held Friday and Saturday’s at 6:35 p.m. and Sundays at 1:35 p.m. through October 11, and then change to Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 6:35 p.m. The lone exception will be Breeders’ Cup Day Saturday, October 31 when live racing will begin at 1:35 p.m. General Admission is just $5 on all live race days. General Parking is always free.

Lone Star Park is proud to host the Bank of America Challenge Championships this season, held over two days, November 6 and 7, 2015. 

The Bank of America Challenge Championships are the finals in a series of Challenge races where horses qualify through win-and-you’re-in regional races held in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America. Qualifying races are held from early in the year through late fall. Winners of those races meet to compete in the year-end Challenge Championships.

There are a total of 12 stakes races including the six championship races that offer more than $1 million in purses and prizes to be split over two exciting nights with the best of the world’s fastest athletes competing at Lone Star Park. The Bank of America Challenge Championships is a true meeting of champions.

This will be the fifth time the Challenge Championships have been held at the Grand Prairie track. Lone Star Park previously hosted the event in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2006.

Including the Bank of America Challenge Championship races, the 2015 Fall Meeting of Champions features a total of 29 stakes worth an estimated $3.425 million including eight Grade 1 races. Lone Star Park’s premier Grade 1 races for two- and three-year-olds will be run on the same evening, Saturday, November 14. The $1 Million estimated Texas Classic Futurity, annually the state’s richest horse race, and $400,000 estimated Texas Classic Derby on closing night.

Promotions for the Fall Meeting of Champions include Sunday Discounts. Each Sunday of live racing we are offering Senior Citizens’ and Military Discounts. All senior citizens’, age 62 or older with a valid I.D., or members of any branch of the military, with a valid military I.D., receive free general admission.

Pepsi Can Offer. Bring any Pepsi can to Lone Star Park and receive a Pepsi track pack good for One (1) Free General Admission and One (1) Free Large Pepsi. This offer is only available in the Grandstand on Sunday’s for live racing.

New this fall is live music in the Courtyard of Champions each Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., plus we have added bounce houses to the Courtyard for kids to enjoy on Sunday’s from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. as well.

Lone Star Park is pleased to announce the return of the Pura Musica Concert Series. Three live concerts are scheduled. All concerts are free with paid general admission before 8:00 p.m. or $12.00 after 8:00 p.m. *Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. The 2015 Fall Meeting of Champions for American Quarter Horses and mixed breeds opens Friday, September 18 and concludes on Saturday, November 14.
