The field is now set for the 18th running of the $187,800 Grade 2, Dash for Cash Derby to be held Saturday, October 10 at 440 yards. The top 10 horses with the fastest times tonight advance to the final.  

Marys Coronitas, bred, owned and trained by Jorge Mendoza clocked the 440 yard distance tonight in 21.422 seconds over a fast track earning a guaranteed spot in the Derby final. A filly by Corona Cartel, she is out of the mare Inbetween Dances, by Runaway Winner. This was her fourth win from 13 career starts.

In the sixth race tonight, taking the lead by nearly a length just a few jumps out of the gate, Marys Coronitas had the others put away. She gave an impressive performance under the guidance of jockey Juan Francisco, Jr. and earned a speed index of 95.

There was at least one qualifier from each of the six trial races tonight. Race 3 produced the most with three.

 Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. The 2015 Fall Meeting of Champions for American Quarter Horses and mixed breeds opens Friday, September 18 and concludes on Saturday, November 14. Live racing will be held three days a week, Friday & Saturday at 6:35 p.m.  and Sundays at 1:35 p.m. Live racing will be held on select Thursdays at 6:35 p.m. (October 15, 22 and 29; November 5). The Bank of America Challenge Championships will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7.
