OUR PRINCESS AND PADDYS DAY THE VICTORS OF THE DIVISIONAL GRADE 3 ARABIAN STALLION STAKES

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Friday, October 16, 2015) – Cre Run Enterprises, LLC’s OUR PRINCESS with jockey Kirstan Swan at the reins was first to the finish in tonight’s Grade 3 Arabian Stallion Stakes, filly & mare division. The five-year-old mare by NIVOUR DE CARDONNE won the one mile contest in a final time of 1:50.61 on a fast main track. Fractional times were :26.97, :53.37 and 1:21.69. 

 Trained by Lynn A. Ashby, OUR PRINCESS settled well back in the field, rallied outside on the far turn and with an outside bid in the stretch, hooked up in a duel with and prevailing over stablemate ROYAL RICHESS by three-quarters of a length at the finish line. The win was her seventh from 14 career starts, and boosted her bankroll to $101,788. 

Mutuels for the coupled entry of OUR PRINCESS and ROYAL RICHESS returned $5.60, $3.80 and $3.00. DC WILLYS SONG returned $2.80 for show. RB FRYNC BROAD, MY VAZ IS HOT, DHAAN, LIL RICH GIRL, RB RICH KIN and HESSTER completed the order of finish. JEWELL AA was a late scratch. 

PADDYS DAY demolishes field in the colt & gelding division, winning the one mile race by an astonishing 18 lengths. Final time was 1:48.62 with fractions of :27.04, :53.24 and 1:20.46 on a fast main track. Owned by Quarter Moon Ranch LLC and trained by Scott Powell, the four-year-old colt by BURNING SAND was four wide on the first turn, contested the pace on the outside, then shook clear near the quarter pole, was put to the whip turning for home to draw off widening the gap. Jockey Kelsi Purcell was aboard for the trip 

 After four late scratches from the race, the final field was whittled down to just four causing a cancellation on show, Trifecta and Superfecta wagering. Mutuels on the winner returned $2.40 and $2.10. EASTER MAN returned $3.40 for place. CHNDAKASEXPRESS and THESS IS AWESOME completed the order of finished. The scratched horses were RB BRILLIANT, RB RICH, RC MADJYK MAN and UPTOWN DANNYS BOY. 

With the win, PADDYS DAY improved his record to 14-11-2-0 and increased his earnings to $138,708. 

 Live racing continues tomorrow, Saturday, October 17. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. First race post time is 6:35 p.m.
