GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Thursday, October 22, 2015) – On the advice of track stewards and members of Lone Star Park’s management team with the safety of the horses and horsemen foremost, the decision was made to cancel Races 7 through 9 due to unsafe weather conditions.

All straight wagers on Races 7, 8 and 9 will be fully refunded. Consolations will be paid on multi-race wagers and are as follows:

Consolation $2 daily double for Races 6 and 7 for 1/all will pay $7.20. The consolation $1 daily double 1/all will pay $3.20. A consolation $2 pick 3 for Races 5, 6 and 7 for 9/1/all will pay $70.10. Consolation pick 4 on Races 6, 7, 8 and 9 for 1/all/all/all will pay $2.85. All other wagers not listed above will be fully refunded.

Live racing will resume tomorrow, Friday, October 23 at 6:35 p.m. On the card are the trials to determine the field for the Grade 1 Texas Classic Derby to be held on Saturday, November 14.


Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. The 2015 Fall Meeting of Champions for American Quarter Horses and mixed breeds opens Friday, September 18 and concludes on Saturday, November 14. Live racing will be held three days a week, Friday & Saturday at 6:35 p.m.  and Sundays at 1:35 p.m. Live racing will be held on select Thursdays at 6:35 p.m. (October 15, 22 and 29; November 5). The Bank of America Challenge Championships will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7.
