APOLLITICAL BLOOD A STANDOUT - IS FASTEST QUALIFIER FOR $415,690 GRADE 1 TEXAS CLASSIC DERBY

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Friday, October 23, 2015) – The field is set for the 23rd running of the $415,690 Grade 1 Texas Classic Derby to be held here on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

Grade 1 All American Derby winner Apollitical Blood made it look so easy under a hand ride by jockey Eduardo Nicasio. The gelding by Apollitical Jess posted the fastest time for the 440 yards of 21.262 seconds over a sloppy track. His three and three quarter length victory was so impressive like it was an afternoon walk in the park not to mention it guaranteed his spot in the Derby final.

The 10 fastest three-year-olds that will compete for a share of the $415,690 purse in the Grade 1 Texas Classic Derby final as determined from tonight’s trials are:
