GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Monday, October 26, 2015) – Members of Lone Star Park jockey colony will visit Children’s HealthSM Children's Medical Center Dallas on Tuesday, October 27.

Lone Star Park jockeys will arrive at 2:00 p.m. to visit with the children, autograph goggles, hand out gifts, spread smiles and hopefully brighten days. Derby, Lone Star Park’s Mascot horse will accompany them on the visit.

The jockeys and Lone Star Park are joining efforts on behalf of the Jockeys Guild to raise awareness to childhood cancer by visiting a local Children’s Hospital. 


Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. The 2015 Fall Meeting of Champions for American Quarter Horses and mixed breeds opens Friday, September 18 and concludes on Saturday, November 14. Live racing will be held three days a week, Friday & Saturday at 6:35 p.m.  and Sundays at 1:35 p.m. Live racing will be held on select Thursdays at 6:35 p.m. (October 15, 22 and 29; November 5). The Bank of America Challenge Championships will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7. Lone Star Park is also home to the multi-million dollar simulcast racebook, sports bar and event venue, Bar & Book. The 36,000 square foot venue is open to the public 363 days a year.
