GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Thursday, October 29, 2015) – Two Paint & Appaloosa Stakes races are carded Friday, October 30 at Lone Star Park, the $20,132 Masterpiece Challenge Paint & Appaloosa Stakes and the Grade 1 $89,780 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity. A total of nine live races are scheduled. First race post time is 6:35 p.m.

A win in the Speedhorse Futurity on Friday by Painted Turnpike would be a crowning moment as it is the third and final of the three races that make up the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown. He has won the first two.

The 2-year-old paint colt by Pyc Paint Your Wagon out of High Class Turnpike by Royal Quick Flash, won the Grade 1 $213,500 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity (the richest Paint & Appaloosa Futurity in the world) at Remington Park and the Grade 1 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Fair Meadows in Tulsa earlier this year.

Set at 6-5 in the morning line, Painted Turnpike will pursue his mission to win this third and final victory necessary to become the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Champion here in Friday’s Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity for owner Nolan D. Pevehouse and trainer Matt Whitekiller. He will have the services again of his regular and only rider Cody R. Smith.

Going into this race Painted Turnpike has won seven of his eight career races and earned $194,663. In his one loss he was second by just ½ length.
