13 World Championship Races Worth a Combined $26.5 Million in Purses 


GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Wednesday, November 2, 2016) -- Racing fans, Lone Star Park is the place to be this Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 to watch, wager and win on the 33rd Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships simulcast live from Santa Anita Park in Los Angeles, California.

Known as the richest two days in Thoroughbred racing, the 2016 Breeders’ Cup features 13 races worth a combined $26.5 million in purses and awards. It all begins Friday with the $1 million Juvenile Turf at 4:25 p.m., and on Saturday with the $2,000,000 Juvenile Fillies at 2:05 p.m. All times CDT.

Please note a slightly different schedule on both Friday & Saturday, November 4 & 5 to accommodate the Breeders’ Cup races.

Grandstand Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. 

First Breeders’ Cup race post time is 4:25 p.m.

Bar & Book will open at 10:00 a.m. 

Grandstand Gates will open at 10:30 a.m. 

First Breeders’ Cup simulcast is 2:05 p.m. 

First live Lone Star Park race is 7:05 p.m.

Grandstand seating will be available at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 5. Tickets can be purchased in advance for Silks Dining and Luxury Suites by calling (972) 263-PONY.


Advance wagering for Saturday's Breeders' Cup race card will be available at Lone Star Park all day Friday, November 4.
