As luck would have it Arellano picked up the mount after jockey Eddie Martin, Jr. took off his races due to illness.

Gold Shock raced between rivals under a strong hold, was given her head coming out of the final turn and swung to the outside and under strong urging got to the wire first a head over Celebrity’s Gift. It was another half back to Mighty Ferrari in third.

Mutuels returned $12.80, $5.80 and $4.20 for the winner. Place returned $7.80 and $4.80. Show wagers returned $8.80. Pure Grey; Favorite - Kat’s Infatuation; Better Belle and Country Candy completed the order of finish.
