RACES 3-8 CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Friday, June 2, 2017) – In the interest of safety for the horses and riders and the recommendation by the Texas Racing Commission stewards, track officials made the decision to cancel the remaining races on the Friday night card.

All straight wagers will be fully refunded and multi-race wagers will pay to “all” for the cancelled legs.

Live racing will resume Saturday, June 3. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. First race post time is 5:00 p.m.

 

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. The track offers a 50-day 2017 Thoroughbred Season, which opens Thursday, April 20 and concludes on Sunday, July 30.  Live racing will be held three days a week, Friday at 6:35 p.m., Saturday at 5:00 p.m. (except Triple Crown Days May 6, May 20 & June 10 which have a 1:35 p.m. start) and Sundays at 2:35 p.m. Live racing will be held on select Thursdays at 6:35 p.m. (April 20, June 15 & July 27). The racing program on Memorial Day, May 29, will start at 2:35 p.m. A special twilight program will be held at 5:00 p.m. both on Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4 (Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration). Lone Star Park is also home to the multi-million dollar simulcast racebook, sports bar and event venue, Bar & Book. The 36,000 square foot venue is open to the public 363 days a year.
