EAGLE CRY POSTS FASTEST TIME IN TRIALS TO GRADE 3, $214,200 DASH FOR CASH DERBY TO BE RUN SEPTEMBER 30

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Friday, September 15, 2017) – Ten qualifiers are set and will meet in the 20th Running of the Grade 3, $214,200 Dash for Cash Derby at 440 yards to be run on Saturday, September 30 at Lone Star Park. It was the seventh race on the card when Eagle Cry posted a final time of 21.693 for 440 yards on a fast track, the fastest time of the evening.

There was no doubt Eagle Cry came ready to perform tonight. With Jesse Levario in the saddle, he was well in front just a few jumps out of the gate. When he reached the wire he was two lengths in front of the rest. Speed index for the effort was 91. Eagle Cry is owned by Irma & Giovanni Vargas of Grand Prairie and trained by Rolando Armanza.

  Live racing continues tomorrow night featuring the Dash for Cash Futurity trials. There are 11 trials scheduled. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. First race post time 6:35 p.m. CDT.
