10 QUICK YOUNGSTERS SET TO GO IN SATURDAY’S GRADE 2 $353,700 DASH FOR CASH FUTURITY AT LONE STAR PARK

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Friday, September 29, 2017) – Ja Am I Blue drew post position seven and was made the 8-5 morning line favorite for Saturday’s Grade 2, $353,700 Dash for Cash Futurity at Lone Star Park. The nine-race live program will begin at 6:35 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The program also includes the Grade 3, $213,200 Dash for Cash Derby, headed by fastest qualifier Eagle Cry, and the $39,300 Dash for Cash Juvenile Stakes.

Owned by Irma Z. Vargas and trained by Rolando Almanza, Ja Am I Blue was the fastest Futurity qualifier on Sept. 16 when he won the 400-yard trial, the 10th of 11, in a final time of :19.725.

The talented 2-year-old Texas-bred son of Jess Louisiana Blue was runner-up by half a length in the Grade 2 Sam Houston Futurity in April. His trial victory jumped his record to two wins and $82,056 from four starts. Jesse Levario has been aboard for all but his career debut last March including the qualifying ride for the futurity final and will retain the mount.
