DAY OF THE DEAD CELEBRATION AT LONE STAR PARK

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Saturday, October 21, 2017) – Lone Star Park is celebrating Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos in a Big way! Join us at the Park on Thursday, November 2. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. First race is at 6:35 p.m. General admission is just $5 for adults, $3 for kids age 3-12 and kids under 3 are free!

This grand celebration will include live music, sugar skull face painters, a kids coloring station, a procession through the park and a beautiful altar where the patrons can bring offerings and photos to honor loved ones. We will also have a special race that night named the “Dia de los Muertos Dash” where the horses in that race will be decorated in the “Day of the Dead” theme.

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. The track offers a 26-day 2017 Fall Meeting of Champions Season, which opens Friday, September 15 and concludes on Saturday, November 11. Lone Star Park is also home to the multi-million dollar simulcast racebook, sports bar and event venue, Bar & Book. The 36,000 square foot venue is open to the public 363 days a year.
