 13 World Championship Races Totaling More Than $28 Million  

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Thursday, October 26, 2017) -- Lone Star Park is the place to be on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4, to watch and wager on the 34th Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships. For the first time ever the Breeders’ Cup is being held at the historic Del Mar Thoroughbred Club “Where the turf meets the surf” in sunny Del Mar, California.  Every race from the two day event will be simulcast live right here at the Grand Prairie track, so fans can watch & wager as if they were there.

The 2017 Breeders’ Cup features 13 Grade 1 races with purses and awards totaling more than $28 million. The first Breeders’ Cup race is Friday, November 3, at 4:25 p.m. (CDT) and it’s the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. The first Breeders’ Cup race on Saturday, November 4, is 1:20 p.m. (CDT) and it’s the $2,000,000 14 Hands Winery Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies. 

Please note we will have a slightly different schedule for our live racing programs on both Friday & Saturday, November 3 & 4 to accommodate the Breeders’ Cup races. 

Lone Star Park hours of operation for Friday & Saturday, November 3 & 4:

Friday, November 3

Bar & Book will open at 10:30 a.m.
Grandstand Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
First Breeders’ Cup race post time is 4:25 p.m.
First live Lone Star Park race post time is 7:00 p.m.  

Saturday, November 4 

Bar & Book will open at 10:00 a.m.
Grandstand Gates will open at 10:30 a.m.
First Breeders’ Cup race post time is 1:20 p.m.
First live Lone Star Park race is 7:00 p.m.
Breeders’ Cup Classic post time is 7:35 p.m.

Grandstand seating will be available at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 4. Tickets can be purchased in advance for Silks Dining and Luxury Suites by calling (972) 263-PONY.

Advance wagering for Saturday's Breeders' Cup race card will be available at Lone Star Park all day Friday, November 3.

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. The track offers a 26-day 2017 Fall Meeting of Champions Season, which opens Friday, September 15 and concludes on Saturday, November 11.
