Make sure you’re up to date on our precautions before your next visit

The health and safety of our patrons is our number one priority. We continue to monitor closely Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and public health advancements, and we have implemented operational procedures and protocols that you need to know before you make your next trip to Lone Star Park.

SIMULCAST OPERATIONS AT BAR & BOOK
Bar & Book is open for Simulcasting seven days a week. Grandstand is open for Simulcasting on Friday, November 6 & Saturday, November 7.

  • Occupancy is limited and all appropriate physical distancing measures must strictly be adhered to. We expect to reach occupancy early at Bar & Book; those arriving after occupancy has been reached will be directed to the Grandstand.
  • Masks are required to be worn at all times by guests, with the only exception being when in the act of eating or drinking.
  • All eating or drinking must take place while seated.
  • There will not be any walkup bar service at Bar & Book; You must order all food & beverages from a server. The Grandstand will have walkup bar service and concessions, but you must return to a seat while eating.
  • No outside food & beverages will be allowed.
  • Bar & Book and Lone Star Park is a completely non-smoking facility. All smoking must be conducted outdoors, on the patio or in the Courtyard Veranda. Televisions and self-serve wagering machines are available at the Bar & Book’s outdoor areas.
  • All seating, including carrel seats are free and first-come, first-served. There will not be any reservations or “holding” of seats. Everyone will need to have a seat.
  • At Bar & Book, Groups of 2-4 people are encouraged to sit at a dining table inside the bar or lounge area and individuals not part of a group are encouraged to sit at a carrel seat.
  • No standing, loitering or congregating are allowed in any areas.
  • Please do your part in cleaning up after yourself when leaving for the day. This will help your fellow patrons know when a seat has become vacant.

MASK POLICY FOR EVERYONE
Face coverings are required for all guests ages 2 and up at all times, with the only exception being when in the act of eating or drinking. Those who fail to comply will be refused service and will be asked to leave the property.

All guests will be temperature checked as they approach the entrance and asked a brief CDC questionnaire.

Valet parking service has been suspended until further notice. General parking and preferred parking are free.

Temperature Screenings and Face Coverings. Face coverings are required for all guests ages 2 and up at all times, with the only exception being when in the act of eating or drinking. Those who fail to comply will be refused service and will be asked to leave the property. All patrons and employees entering Lone Star Park and Bar & Book will be checked for temperature. Individuals with a temperature at or over 100.4°F (38°C) will not be allowed to enter Lone Star Park or Bar & Book. Employees are required to wear protective coverings over their nose and mouth at all times.

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocols. Enhanced cleaning procedures will be followed, including the use of electrostatic sprayers and EPA-certified chemicals during daily closures as well as more frequent manual disinfection processes with EPA-registered disinfectant on high-touch surfaces like door handles, railings, elevator buttons, ATMs, self-serve wagering machines and other hard surfaces. The number of hand sanitizer dispensers has been increased and will be placed at guest and employee entrances and exits as well as high-contact areas.

Reservations. New reservations have been suspended until further notice. All reservations were refunded automatically.

Physical Distancing. Guests need to practice physical distancing leaving six feet between themselves and people not traveling with them while standing in lines, using elevators or moving around the property. Restaurant tables and other layouts will be arranged to ensure appropriate distancing. Bar chairs have been rearranged and seating has been removed from some tables to create additional distance between individuals.
