Drive-Thru Wagering Hours:
Our convenient drive-thru wagering lanes will be open Friday, October 26, 2007 from 8 a.m. to noon and Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 8 a.m. till the BRC' Classic race runs that afternoon, at Parking Gate 2 off Belt Line Road. Lone Star Today and simulcast programs will be available. $100 cash limit on cashed tickets.

To cash a winning parimutuel ticket by mail:
Please send your winning ticket, along with your name, address and phone number, to the above address, attention "Mutuels Department". Please send the ticket via certified or registered mail, return receipt requested, and that you retain a copy for your records.  Winning pari-mutuel tickets purchased on or after August 1, 2006 through and including July 31, 2007, will expire at the close of business on September 29, 2007. Winning pari-mutuel tickets purchased on or after August 1, 2007 through and including August 31, 2007, will expire at the close of business on September 29, 2008. Winning pari-mutuel tickets purchased on or after September 1, 2007 expire one year from the date of purchase.

To cash a winning voucher:
Winning pari-mutuel vouchers issued prior to September 1, 2007 have no expiration date. Winning pari-mutuel vouchers issued on and after September 1, 2007 expire one year from the date of issuance.

Helpful Hints:
Thoroughbred racing is one of the easiest types of wagers to place. Here are a few helpful hints to get you started:

Win
You are wagering that your horse will come in first.

Place
You are wagering that your horse will come in second. You win if your horse comes in first or second.

Show
You are wagering that your horse will come in third. You win if your horse comes in first, second or third.

Exacta
You are betting that two horses finish first and second in that exact order.

Daily Double
You are betting that the horses you choose will come in first in two consecutive races.

Trifecta
You are betting that the three horses you choose will finish first, second and third in that exact order.

Pick Three
You are betting that the horses you choose will come in first in three consecutive races.

Pick Four
You are betting that the horses you choose will come in first in four consecutive races.

Pick Five
You are betting that the horses you choose will come in first in five consecutive races.

There are all sorts of ways to select and bet on multiple horses called wheels or boxes, but that's a subject that can wait until you've mastered the basics.
