IT’S SF HOT PASS BY A NECK IN THE 21st RUNNING OF THE $20,000 NEVILL STAKES SATURDAY AT LONE STAR PARK

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Saturday, September 29, 2018) – On the inside, favorite Sf Hot Pass dueled gate to wire with The Golden Bowl on the outside, to prevail by a neck in the $20,000 Nevil Stakes. That pair finished two-lengths in front of the rest of the field. Final time for the 350-yard contest was 17.319 over a track surface listed as good.

Trained by Leon Bard and owned by Shannon “Stormy” Fisher, Sf Hot Pass earned a speed index of 107 for the effort with the runner-up earning a 105. Gianni Que was third followed by Tlc Dale in fourth. Dash Quick Perry finished fifth and Rc Mr Leaving You didn’t fire tonight and finished sixth. Hotscotch N Courage, Kw Cowboy and Potus completed the order.

Sf Hot Pass is a 5-yr-old gelded son of Ivory James. Jockey Francisco Calderon was aboard to score the victory.

Mutuels on the winner paid $4.40, $3.00 and $2.40. The Golden Bowl returned $7.00 and $5.80 for place and Gianni Que paid $4.40 for the show.

Live racing resumes next Friday, October 5 and features the $25,000 AQHA Distaff Challenge. Gates open at 5 p.m. First race post time is 6:05 p.m.

Saturday, October 6, features the Grade 2, $405,585 Dash For Cash Futurity, the Grade 3,

$163,200 Dash For Cash Derby and the Dash For Cash Juvenile Stakes. A great night for top Quarter Horse racing you won’t want to miss!
