Preakness Stakes : Catch the 151^st running of the Preakness Stakes, the second leg of the Triple Crown. Lone Star Park’s Grandstand will open early at 10:30 a.m. The first live Lone Star Park race will begin at 1:35 p.m. and the Preakness Stakes simulcast will be at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Crawfish Boil: Lone Star Park is hosting a Crawfish Boil! Bring your appetites and join us in the Courtyard of Champions for delicious crawfish; $30 for a 3-pound plate that includes corn and potatoes.

Live Music: We’ll have live Zydeco music on the Courtyard of Champions Stage from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., featuring Jay-B & The Zydeco Posse.

Lone Star BARK: Grab your favorite pooch and head out to the races for our 11^th annual Lone Star Bark! We’ll have pet friendly vendors, contests for your furry friends and everyone’s favorite; dog races! Dogs must be on a secure leash and will only be allowed in the designated outdoor areas of Lone Star Park. The top two finishers in each race will earn their owner a check:

This year we have partnered with Spay Neuter Network and your pups can search for thousands of dog treats and toys in the Bone Hunt, run on the track for fun and money (limited availability), and play games including Doggie Limbo, Bobbing for Tennis Balls, Musical Mutts, Ask Fido, and the Rubber Ducky Challenge. Enjoy live music, food trucks, catering, drinks, pictures with your pet, a silent auction of paw-some items, and more. Proceeds go toward helping Texas pets. Best Hat Contest: Wear your favorite Kentucky Derby hat to the races! We will be awarding two grand prizes in our Kentucky Derby Hat Contest for “The Most Stylish” and “The Most Creative” with both winners receiving $500. Judging begins at 3:00 p.m. in the Courtyard of Champions. *
