LSP RACING DIRECTOR TO RECEIVE AWARD FROM THE TEXAS THOROUGHBRED ASSOCIATION FOR RACING CLUB

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Friday, February 8, 2019) – The Texas Thoroughbred Association announced yesterday their Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner will be on Saturday, March 23 at Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas.

Among the award-winners being honored is Lone Star Park’s Director of Racing, Bart Lang. Lang will receive the Allen Bogan Memorial Award for being selected TTA Member of the Year. He is receiving this award for being instrumental in launching the Lone Star Park Racing Club last year.

The inaugural Lone Star Park Racing Club enjoyed the success of racing three horses including Fred’s Lucky Boy during the 2018 season. Fred’s Lucky Boy, a 5-yr-old Texas-bred gelding by Wimbledon has been voted 2018 Texas Champion Claimer and will also receive an award. Each of the three horses owned by the club won their races giving the racing club a perfect three-for-three record.

“The club far exceeded our expectations and continues to with these awards,” said Bart Lang, Director of Racing at Lone Star. “What a great winning experience for all of us involved. Many thanks to all our club members. We are looking forward to having another fun filled racing season.”

The Lone Star Park Racing Club is now accepting members for the 2019 Thoroughbred Season which opens on Thursday, April 18. Lone Star Park’s 2019 Thoroughbred Racing Season will run 44 days from April 18 through July 21.

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie, a Class I racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and Global Gaming LSP. The track offers a 44-day 2019 Thoroughbred Season, which opens Thursday, April 18 and concludes on Sunday, July 21. Live racing will be held select Thursdays and select Fridays at 6:35 p.m. Saturday and Sunday race programs start at 2:35 p.m. (except Triple Crown Days; May 4, May 18 & June 8 which have a 1:35 p.m. start).
